Reduced Stress &
Gain Inner Peace
with Prayer
People meditate, pray, intention, or focus, in their own way and with their own spirituality.
Here I will comment on general concepts that apply to any form of spirituality, any communication back and forth with the source. Consider these four aspects of this communication:
- Ask for guidance, using your own words or personal set prayers.
When we open our hearts and minds and ask, we have set the stage for the possibility of receiving. We open to that which is beyond us. in order to remain open to hear whatever we need to hear, a prayer can ask for best outcome, rather than a specific outcome. After asking, we must remain quiet so that we can hear the wisdom of the universe speak to us.
- Meditate in stillness and quietness of body. This allows us to attune to the voice of the source. Through meditation we come to experience our eternal Self. We know about our sensory organs; we know about our emotions; we know about our thinking mind; but until we still our body, emotions, and thinking mind, we do not have conscious contact with our soul, which is part of the main eternal core of Self. We aid ourselves in fulfilling our human potential by maintaining and nurturing a stable secure base. When we are out of balance so are the results of our actions. To produce results for the highest good we need to consistently live from our highest consciousness. By living a balance of work, play and meditation we stay centered. In this bodily stillness the mind relaxes and becomes more peaceful allowing stress to wash away.
- Appreciate and you will uplift both the giver and receiver. Appreciation is a thought, a smile, a gentle touch or hug. Encouraging words increase a person's potential. Thankful and loving thoughts beget more of the same. When you appreciate, you will instantly increase the abundance in your life. Abundance is the opposite of scarcity. Abundance melts away stress.
- Application of our inner guidance into action is what changes the world. When meditative peaceful awareness translates into actions, our lives, our relationships, and our work become inspired.
Think about these four together: Ask for best outcomes. Give yourself the time and quiet to hear your divine response from the universe. Appreciate the many gifts from the universe. And then apply what you have learned to improve your world. Imagine this flow of positive energy in your life. Can't you feel the sweet exhale of reduced stress?
